First Tuesdays at the Capitol

  • The Texas Legislature meets every odd-numbered year for 140 consecutive days and convenes again Jan. 14, 2025. Legislators need to hear from you – their physician, medical student, and alliance constituents – during the session to understand how proposed legislation can potentially impact the practice of medicine in Texas.

    Register for 2025 First Tuesdays at the Capitol.

  • Registration

    Registration for First Tuesdays is *free for all TMA members.

    **Pricing for non members and other attendees:

    • $100 for non member physicians
    • $50 for member guests, non-member residents and students, and alliance members (without a TMA member spouse).

    **The amount paid can go toward your TMA membership if you join.

    DoubleTree190The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel has set aside suites for the Monday before each First Tuesday event for participants. The hotel is conveniently located between TMA and the Capitol at 303 W. 15th St.

    Please register for First Tuesdays to receive a booking link or call (512) 478-7000 for reservations. Don’t forget to mention that you are attending First Tuesdays at the Capitol with TMA and TMA Alliance.
