TMA Lifelong Leadership Program

  • Leadership Training for Physicians

The TMA Lifelong Leadership Program (LLP) was established as part of TMA's effort to ensure strong and sustainable physician leadership. The program provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip physicians with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in organized medicine, practice leadership, and advocacy.

This free, self-paced 18-month program is designed for any TMA member physician wanting leadership development training. Physicians will gain the skills and confidence to lead within organized medicine, their workplace, and their community.

  • Requirements & Curriculum

The program consists of a combination of in-person and on-demand courses and activities centered on one of three concentrations: Organized Medicine, Practice Leadership, or Advocacy.

Each concentration's curriculum is a combination of in-person sessions at TMA events, on-demand learning from the TMA Education Center, dedicated webinars, and attendance at meetings and events.

Enrollment is open to TMA member physicians on a rolling basis and each candidate will have 18 months from the date of enrollment to complete the requirements for their selected curriculum. Due to the attendance requirements, this program is designed to take at least nine months to a year.

Upon completion, participants will earn a certificate valid for five years. With a flexible timeline and a variety of learning opportunities, this program allows you to grow at your own pace while achieving tangible milestones.
