Chances are pretty good that you send prescriptions electronically to a patient’s pharmacy ¾ that you engage in e-prescribing.
If you do, chances also are very good that all of those e-prescriptions flow through Surescripts, the nation’s largest e-prescribing network with more than 4.8 million transactions each day.
To improve the accuracy of its e-prescribing system, Surescripts is recommending specific enhancements, and it wants you to respond to a brief survey to validate its recommendations.
The survey asks about 10 medications and which name is most identifiable. It even allows you to skip questions that aren’t applicable to your prescribing habits.
The Surescripts Drug Description End-User Survey closes May 30, so if you’re interested, you might want to move quickly.
Direct your questions about e-prescribing or other office technologies to TMA’s Department of Health Information Technology by emailing hit[at]texmed[dot]org or calling (800) 880-5720. Or check out TMA’s e-prescribing webpage.
