Were you unable to tune in to the Texas Medical Association’s virtual meeting last week?
During the meeting, Kelly Walla, TMA associate vice president and deputy general counsel, gave a brief overview of Texas’ new surprise billing law – Senate Bill 1264 – which applies to certain out-of-network services provided on or after Jan. 1, 2020.
In addition, Lenore DePagter, DO, gave an update on the Lone Star Caucus, which represents your county in the TMA House of Delegates; and Sylvia Salazar, TMA associate vice president of membership and leadership development, talked about some of the many member benefits that TMA offers.
If you missed it, you can check out the meeting anytime on TMA’s virtual meeting webpage.
TMA will continue hosting virtual meetings to keep you updated, so keep an eye out for announcements and let us know via email how we can make them better, or topics you’d like to hear more about.
