A Healthy Step Toward Reconnecting With Your Community

During the COVID-19 pandemic, most Walk With a Doc Texas sponsors cancelled or postponed walks. Now that Texas is slowly reopening, you might be thinking about restarting your walk to reconnect with your patients and community. 

The Texas Medical Association’s top priority is the safety of you and your participants. But exercise is important, too. 

As you think about bringing your group back together, consider this message from Gov. Greg Abbott: "If you go out in public, stay six feet apart from others, wear a face covering, and wash your hands regularly. Be a good neighbor. Be a Texan. Together, we’re going to make our way through this." 

As you know, staying active is good for people’s physical and mental health. So as you consider getting back to your walk, here are some topics you can share with your participants:
