Contract negotiation is an important aspect in your medical career, whether you’re acquiring or selling a practice, or navigating noncompete clauses. How well you understand the process can help you negotiate terms that are more favorable to you and your practice.
Join your Texas Medical Association colleagues for a virtual discussion on contract negotiation, scheduled for 6 to 7 pm (CT) Thursday, Dec. 10.
The virtual discussion, to be held via Zoom, will be presented by Austin-based health care attorney Amanda Hill, who has more than 20 years’ experience in health law and wrote the TMA guide, Fraud and Abuse Prevention Simplified.
A question-and-answer session also is planned. Register online.
The presentation is the first in TMA’s new Lifelong Leadership virtual series.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Increasing your negotiation power as a physician;
- Understanding noncompete clauses;
- Selling or acquiring medical practices;
- Ancillary provider contracts; and
- Contracting with advanced practice professionals.
The event is free and open to all TMA members. Attendees will earn 1 hour of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ with Ethics.
