William W. Hinchey, MD, San Antonio

A native of San Antonio, Dr. Hinchey is a graduate of Texas Tech
University and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San
Antonio. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.
He served as Chair of pathology and Chief of anatomic pathology for
The Baptist Health System as well as Director of residency
rotations at Baptist Medical Center for several years.
Currently, Dr. Hinchey supervises outpatient surgical pathology
services for Ameripath South Texas, and he is Assistant Clinical
Professor of pathology at UT-San Antonio.
Dr. Hinchey is involved in many professional and social
organizations. Before his election as the 142nd president of the
Texas Medical Association, he served as chair of the TMA Board of
Trustees and as a member of the TMA Council on Socioeconomics.
Dr. Hinchey has been a strong advocate for physicians and
patients on issues such as fair reimbursement from health insurance
companies and state and federal health programs, tort reform,
adequate support for medical education at all levels, and public
health. Locally, Dr. Hinchey is involved with such community and
social organizations as the San Antonio Medical Foundation and the
Texas Cavaliers.
