The Medical Student Section (MSS) meeting at the Texas Medical Association’s 2022 TMA Winter Conference will take place on Saturday, Jan. 29, from noon to 3 pm. Register now.
Apply to be an MSS leader
Applications are being accepted for two open MSS Executive Council positions. To apply for alternate delegate to the Texas Delegation to the American Medical Association, or student appointee to the TMA Board of Trustees, submit a letter of intent, two-page curriculum vitae, and headshot to Karen Kollar by Jan. 20, 2022.
The TMA-MSS Executive Council appoints these positions. If you are applying for one of the positions, you will need to be available to interview with the executive council during its meeting, which it will hold virtually in advance of Winter Conference.
MSS awards nominees sought
The MSS is accepting nominations for several awards. Nominations are due by Jan. 20, 2022, for:
- Student of the Year – a student exemplifying outstanding service to the TMA-MSS;
- Chapter of the Year – a chapter that exemplifies leadership, dedication, and service to TMA, AMA, and all Texans; and
- C. Frank Webber, MD, Award – a TMA physician member who has provided exceptional guidance and support to the section or to medical students in general.
