“Receiving this scholarship is a tremendous honor, and I am incredibly appreciative of your support as I continue my medical education at UT Southwestern Medical School.
As a third-year medical student currently on my sixth rotation, I am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to participate in patient care across diverse specialties. While I plan to pursue a career in pediatric dermatology, I approach each rotation with enthusiasm, treating it as though I might enter that specialty. A mentor once advised me, “Treat every rotation as if you were going into that field, and you will always have a great time.” I have embraced this mindset through rotations in pediatrics, ambulatory medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, neurology, and now surgery, which has kept me focused, engaged, and grateful for the learning opportunities each day.
