With reputable masking guidance shifting with the science, and with misinformation plaguing public health efforts, it’s likely your patients have expressed confusion on masks.

Here to help clear up some of the current confusion is a shareable graphic, What Mask Should I Wear?, from the Public Health Communications Collaborative, formed in 2020 in response to COVID-19.

Available in both English and Spanish, the graphic displays the full masking continuum from “No Mask or Improper Use” to “High Filtration Masks” such as N95 or KN95 respirators, and the benefits and/or drawbacks of each.

It’s available for downloading and printing to share with your patients on the Texas Medical Association’s COVID-19 Resource Center, where you can also find much more information on the pandemic, updated regularly.
