Learn About Vendors, Enjoy Refreshments, and Make Connections at TexMed Expo Hall
By Hannah Wisterman

After years of juggling competing schedules and commitments, physicians attending TexMed, to take place in Fort Worth May 19-20, will enjoy better opportunities for networking and fun, thanks to changes implemented by the Texas Medical Association Board of Trustees and staff.

Prior to this year’s changes, physicians expressed concern that the number of business meetings held concurrently with the House of Delegates and CME sessions had hindered them from taking full advantage of the conference. Now, with business meetings scheduled within specific windows of time, physicians can attend the event’s multiple networking opportunities and robust expo hall.

This year's Expo Hall will host dozens of exhibitors, ranging from wellness groups to creative service solutions and TMA resources – and the return of Paws Across Texas’ emotional support animals, historically popular with TexMed attendees. Whether exhibitors provide assistance for individual physicians or offer services for practices and groups, there will be a booth suited for all attendees.

There will also be several prize drawings with gifts generously donated by exhibitors.

The Expo Hall also serves as the central location for physician networking. Friday’s Section Connection and the Welcome Reception, sponsored by Texas Medical Liability Trust, will take place within the Expo Hall. The Physician Lounge will offer refreshments throughout TexMed.

Friday’s Networking Lunch, intended to foster connections between physician colleagues, will take place in the hall at noon. Then, on Saturday, attend the Backyard BBQ from 12:30 to 2 pm, sponsored by TMA Insurance Trust. The Backyard BBQ will feature hot food and live music. Rather than coinciding with CME or other presentations, the BBQ will give physicians a chance to recharge and catch up with colleagues before TexMed’s closing session with Brad Nieder, MD, aka the Healthy Humorist.

Between prescient CME presentations and business meetings crucial to the future of medicine, make sure not to miss the resources, networking, and fun built into this year’s TexMed schedule. Register today
