New TMA Webinar Equips Physicians for 2025 Medicare Fee Schedule

With the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule set to take effect Jan. 1, the Texas Medical Association is preparing physicians for changes in payment and coding, telemedicine, and quality and value-based care arrangements, among other areas.

TMA staff have prepared an on-demand webinar detailing the 2025 schedule’s reduction in physician payment – the conversion factor used in calculating that amount has been reduced by nearly 3% from last year. The CME program supplies actionable ways physicians can still advocate to avert this cut.

The webinar also lists coding updates for office and outpatient evaluation and management services, chronic conditions, and caregiver training, as well as certain coverage changes. The presentation includes steps physicians can take to keep their offices current with those changes, including with fee-for-service payer agreements.

Physicians can also use the webinar to stay updated on a wide and varied mix of changes Medicare has made to telemedicine coverage, including the expiration of payment parity and the return of site restrictions, but also the new inclusion of certain services and much more.

Plus, get Quality Payment Program updates, including what’s new with the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), MIPS Value Pathways, and alternative payment models, as well as 2025’s Medicare Shared Savings Program performance metrics.
