Members should have a faster, more user-friendly experience accessing CME courses in the TMA Education Center after the Texas Medical Association made changes based on user feedback.
In recent years, members reported slow page-load times and a complicated registration process on the Education Center website that made completing CME courses difficult. In response, TMA worked with the site’s longtime host, InReach, to identify and implement upgrades to simplify access and improve performance.
The most significant enhancement came directly from user feedback.
“The biggest improvement is if you’re logged in as a member, and don’t need to pay for a course, all you have to do now is click a button to start. The new site has eliminated the entire clunky registration process,” said Cheryl Krhovjak, director of TMA’s Education Center.
The refreshed site is also now optimized for mobile use, allowing Education Center users to more easily start a CME course on a desktop then finish on a mobile device, and vice versa.
InReach has hosted TMA’s CME offerings since 2012, when the platform featured about 30 courses offered at a discount to members. Today, the library has grown to more than 100 courses. Members can access courses on ethics, practice operations, physician wellness, billing and coding, and other topics free of charge thanks to TMA Insurance Trust.
To access TMA’s CME courses, visit the Education Center’s website. Members who want to suggest future CME courses or give feedback on the Education Center can email Cheryl Krhovjak.
