Medicaid EHR Incentive Program: Last Day to Attest for Program Year 2021 is Aug. 1, 2021.
This is the final year of the Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive/Promoting Interoperability (PI) Program. The deadline to attest for Program Year 2021 is 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2021. You have until then to complete and submit an attestation to qualify for an incentive payment. Attestation is considered complete after submitting your attestation and receiving either a “payment pending” or “in review” status. All participants are required to use a 2015 Edition CEHRT and attest to Stage 3 Meaningful Use (MU)/PI objectives and measures. Participants must attest to a 90-day MU and electronic clinical quality measure reporting period. This year’s deadline is earlier than previous years because of strict federal requirements for sunsetting the program in 2021. You are encouraged to attest as soon as possible. No deadline extensions will be granted this year for any reason.
