Reporting Period for Round 1 of CARES Act Provider Relief Funds Begins
If you received more than $10,000 from the first round of Provider Relief Fund (PRF) distributions after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, June 30, 2021, was your last day to spend any of those funds. Starting July 1, 2021, you’ll have 90 days to complete your required reporting of your Period 1 PRF grant and repay any portion you haven’t used. However, recipients of later PRF grants won’t see their reporting period begin until 2022.

Recipients who received one or more payments exceeding $10,000 in the aggregate during a "payment received period" are required to report in each applicable reporting time period. For the first round of PRF payments received between April 10, 2020, and June 30, 2020, funds must be used by June 30, 2021, or returned. Reporting must be completed and submitted to the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration by the last date of the reporting time period. The reporting period for the first round of funds begins July 1, 2021, and ends Sept. 30, 2021. PRF recipients who do not report within the applicable reporting time period are out of compliance with payment terms and conditions and may be subject to recoupment.
Recipients of more than $10,000 in Period 1 – between April 10, 2020, and June 30, 2020 – will have from July 1, 2021, until Sept. 30, 2021, to submit their required reports to the PRF Reporting Portal at https://prfreporting.hrsa.gov, which opens on July 1, 2021, for recipients to start submitting their information.
