Twenty-two
individuals (three more than in 2020) became new or upgraded Major Donors
during 2021 and were recognized at
TMA’s recent Winter Conference. They are among 270 Major Donors who
individually or as a couple have donated $10,000 and more cumulatively to TMAF.
All Major Donors are recognized in numerous ways including on the digital
display in the TMA building and on the TMAF website.
A.
Clay Cessna, DO, of Dallas is among the new major donors at TMAF. A donor for
the past decade, Dr. Cessna began supporting TMAF when he was just five years
out of medical school. Since then, he’s donated in memory of a loved one and
supported the annual gala, Hard Hats for Little Heads and the Greatest Need
fund. “Since medical school, the TMA Foundation has inspired me to help others
and given me a platform to help grow my philanthropic endeavors. The TMA Foundation remains true to its
mission and continually improves the lives of Texans and helps engage Texas
physicians in these activities,” Dr. Cessna said. As a student and resident, he
volunteered at numerous TMAF galas and later served on the TMAF Board of
Trustees.
