The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is accepting applications for its State Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Committee.
The application deadline has been extended until March 13.
The panel advises HHSC on Medicaid managed care operations statewide, including “program design and benefits, systemic concerns from consumers and providers, efficiency and quality of services, contract requirements, provider network adequacy, and trends in claims processing,” HHSC said.
HHSC is specifically looking for health care professionals participating in managed care organizations, as well as obstetrical care professionals and physicians in rural areas.
Panel members will be appointed to a term that expires Aug. 31, 2022, and must be able to regularly participate in meetings, which are held in Austin about once a quarter, HHSC said.
If you’re interested, complete and submit an application no later than 11:59 pm March 13.
