Texas’ Maternal Initiative Seeks Experienced Physicians

In its goal of supporting best practices to improve maternal health outcomes, the Texas Department of State Health Services’ (DSHS’) Texas Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (TexasAIM) is seeking new, volunteer faculty members to serve on two open groups. 

The quality improvement initiative’s Plus Sepsis in Obstetric Care Learning Collaborative Faculty and Implementation Mentor groups seek applications from physicians specializing in: 

  • Obstetrics; 
  • Maternal-fetal medicine; 
  • Obstetric hospital medicine; 
  • Family medicine/obstetric care; and 
  • Rural medicine/obstetric care. 

Certified nurse midwives and registered nurses specializing in obstetrics or maternal health also may apply.  

Sepsis faculty applications are due by 11:59 pm CDT Friday, Aug. 9. Implementation mentor applications are due by 11:59 pm CDT Friday, Aug. 23. For more details about the commitments for these groups and how to apply, email DSHS.
