All COVID-19 vaccinators must have proper storage unit temperature-monitoring equipment to keep their vaccine supplies viable – including current certificates of temperature calibration – or they won’t get their vaccine orders, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has announced.
Vaccinators “must have a continuous temperature monitoring device with a valid certificate of calibration, also known as a digital data logger, in each storage unit” that contains the vaccine, DSHS said. If your data logger certificates are expired, you must immediately email DSHS and submit valid certificates in PDF format. Include your site PIN and specify the storage unit.
Email DSHS with questions about COVID-19 Vaccine Program enrollment or call (833) 832-7068 between 8 am and 5 pm CT Monday through Friday.
